Currently, she is staying in a guest house at Hindon Air Base in Uttar Pradesh. The situation in Bangladesh is critical. Anti-Indian forces can come to power there. As soon as there is a change of power, Hindus are being targeted in Bangladesh. In this background, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar made an important statement in Parliament.

“Violence has been going on in Bangladesh since July. The violence started after the Supreme Court’s decision. The only agenda of the protesters was to remove Sheikh Hasina from power. Sheikh Hasina requested to stay in India for some time,” said Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said. He further said, “The Government of India is in touch with the Army Chief. The government that is in power there now will provide security to the Indian High Commission and our people.”

“Sheikh Hasina decided to resign as Prime Minister after a meeting with the heads of the security agencies. He asked for permission to come to India in a very short time. They reached Delhi yesterday evening,” Jaishankar said. He expressed concern over the attacks on minorities in Bangladesh. “Bangladesh politics is highly polarized. We expect the situation to normalize. BSF has a watchful eye on the border,” said Jaishankar.

“There are around 18 thousand Indians in Bangladesh. It has a large number of students. 12 to 13 thousand people are still there. Attacks on Hindu temples and houses are going on in Bangladesh. This is alarming. We are in touch with the Dhaka administration. Jaishankar said to ensure the safety of the ambassador and Hindus.
